Esta ermita de Campelos fue construida en la primera mitad del siglo XVIII y presenta un trazado muy equilibrado.
La cornisa, el rosetón y las volutas recuerdan al siglo XVII, aunque podemos considerarla de la época dorada del barroco nacional o joanista. Mide 8,10 por 5,85 metros. Es propiedad de la Hermandad del Señor de los Afligidos .
La fiesta tradicional es el segundo domingo de septiembre, pero durante algunos años se celebró el tercer domingo de agosto para honrar a los emigrantes.
