La Capilla del Ángel de la Guarda , también llamada Monumento de San Michele , probablemente se remonta a un templo primitivo de estilo románico tardío, construido a finales del siglo XIII como lugar de devoción cerca de ese importante cruce fluvial.
Después de ser parcialmente destruida por el agua durante la crecida de un río, fue reconstruida en el siglo XVIII, cuando se añadieron pilares reforzados y la estatua de San Miguel.
Es una capilla de planta cuadrangular, realizada en piedra de granito . Se trata de una estructura monobloque apoyada sobre columnas y cubierta por bóveda de crucería con ojivas. Tres lados están abiertos al exterior a través de arcos apuntados, mientras que el cuarto, orientado al sur, está cerrado y actúa como muro de cimentación, donde se fija un altar sobre dos estantes en el interior y en el centro, con una estatua policromada de San Michele.
