The Chapel of the Guardian Angel , also called the Monument of St. Michael , possibly dates back to a primitive temple in late Romanesque style, built at the end of the 13th century as a place of devotion near that important river crossing.
After being partially destroyed by water during a river flood, it was rebuilt in the 18th century, when it was given reinforced pillars and the statue of St. Michael.
It is a chapel with a quadrangular plan, made of granite stonework . It is a single-part structure resting on columns and covered by a cross vault with ogives. Three sides are open to the outside by means of pointed arches, while the fourth, facing south, is closed and serves as a foundation wall, where an altar on two corbels is fixed inside and in the center, with a polychrome statue of Saint Michael.
