La batalla de Eylau tuvo lugar entre el 7 de febrero y el 8 de febrero de 1807, y fue un sangriento choque entre las fuerzas del Emperador Napoleón I de Francia y la mayor parte del ejército ruso bajo el mando del general Bennigsen.
Eylau fue la primera prueba seria para la Grande Armée, la cual había demolido literalmente en las dos campañas anteriores los ejércitos de las grandes potencias europeas en la batalla de Austerlitz y en la batalla de Jena-Auerstädt .
