Poco después de la apertura del Puente de los Carniceros el 10 de julio de 2010, comenzaron a aparecer candados de parejas enamoradas en sus alambres de acero, simbolizando declaraciones de amor eterno, un fenómeno similar al del parisino Pont des Arts. El Puente de los Carniceros tiene un conjunto de esculturas que representan figuras de la mitología griega antigua y cristiana/judía.
