Luang Pho Phra Chao Ong Tue se encuentra en Wat Si Chomphu Ong Tue, Ban Nam Mong. Esta gran imagen de Buda fue fundida en bronce por los artesanos reales de la ciudad del norte y Lan Chang. Con rasgos elegantes, la imagen de 4 metros de altura está sentada con las piernas cruzadas en la actitud de dominar a Mara con un ancho de regazo de 3.29 m. Es una imagen sagrada que ha ganado mucho respeto por parte de las personas en ambas orillas del río Mekong. Según una inscripción en piedra, esta imagen fue construida en 1562 por el mandato real de Phra Chaiyachettha, Rey de Nakhon Wiang. Los metales utilizados incluyen oro, latón y plata, con un peso total de un Tue (una antigua medida de Isan) y tomó siete años y siete meses terminar la fundición.
