Mykoláiv , es una ciudad y centro administrativo del óblast de Mykoláiv, en Ucrania. Está situada en la confluencia de dos ríos, el Bug Meridional y el Inhul, a 65 km del mar Negro.
La tasa de natalidad en 2012 era de 9,5 % con 4654 nacimientos y una tasa de mortalidad de 13,0 % con 6379 fallecimientos, lo cual ilustra el decrecimiento de la población durante las dos décadas, debido a la emigración.
