MathWorks es una corporación estadounidense privada que se especializa en software de informática matemática. Sus productos más importantes incluyen MATLAB y Simulink, los cuales apoyan análisis de datos y simulación.
El producto clave de la compañía, MATLAB, fue creado en la década de 1970 por Cleve Moler, quien era presidente del departamento de informática en la Universidad de Nuevo México en ese entonces. Fue una herramienta libre para académicos. Jack Little, quien finalmente fundó la compañía, encontró la herramienta mientras era estudiante de posgrado en ingeniería eléctrica en la Universidad de Stanford.[2][3]
