CBGB fue un club emblemático del punk rock y la new wave, ubicado en Nueva York, Estados Unidos, en el 315 de Bowery entre la 1ª y 2ª Calle en el Lower East Side de Manhattan. Las iniciales CBGB significan Country, bluegrass and blues por los estilos que allí se tocaban inicialmente; y OMFUG, la otra parte del nombre, Other music for uplifting gormandizers, que significa "Otra música para nacientes consumidores" . Su dueño fue Hilly Kristal, fallecido en 2007.
Su inauguración fue en diciembre de 1973 y es reconocido como el local donde comenzaron a tocar bandas tales como The Ramones, Blondie y Talking Heads, a este local tocaban artistas conocidos y no conocidos para promocionar su música. Es reconocido como un local alternativo contando con clientes tan particulares como el artista Andy Warhol y contar con la venta del popular medio Village Voice.
