Long Island es una isla del estado de Nueva York. Tiene una longitud de 190 km desde el puerto de Nueva York hasta el extremo más oriental de la pequeña localidad de Montauk, y una superficie de 3567 km². Es la isla más grande de los Estados Unidos contiguos.
En términos geográficos, Long Island alberga dos distritos de la ciudad de Nueva York , en su parte más occidental, y en la parte opuesta están los condados de Nassau y Suffolk. En términos políticos, cuando los neoyorquinos se refieren a Long Island mayoritariamente suelen referirse a los condados suburbanos de Nassau y Suffolk.
