La torre de la Calahorra es una fortaleza de origen islámico concebida como entrada y protección del Puente Romano de Córdoba . Fue declarada Conjunto Histórico-Artístico en 1931, junto con el puente romano y la puerta del puente.[1]Forma parte del centro histórico de Córdoba que fue declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco en 1994.[2] Alberga la sede del Museo Vivo de al-Ándalus, inaugurado en 1987 y gestionado por la Fundación Paradigma Córdoba.[3]
