Graz ou Gratz,, est une ville d'Autriche et la capitale de l'État de Styrie . Avec une population de 288 806 habitants , c'est la deuxième ville la plus peuplée d'Autriche.Son nom est dérivé du mot slave grad pour « ville » ; gradec, /ɡradet͡s/, signifie « petite ville ». D'ailleurs, Gradec est toujours le nom slovène de Graz.
