Buchkirchen est une commune de marché en Haute-Autriche, dans le district de Wels-Land, dans la région de Hausruckviertel, avec 4001 habitants. Buchkirchen est située au nord de la ville de Wels. Le terrain s'élève de 320 mètres d'altitude au sud à 430 mètres au nord. Le village de Buchkirchen se trouve à une altitude de 346 mètres. Le plus grand cours d'eau est le ruisseau Perwender, qui coule avec ses affluents vers le sud-est en direction de la Traun. Seul à l'ouest, le Katzbach s'écoule vers l'Innbach. L'étendue est de 8,9 kilomètres du nord au sud et de 6,2 kilomètres d'ouest en est.
