Jochberg est une commune de 1533 habitants dans le district de Kitzbühel en Tyrol. La commune se situe dans le district judiciaire de Kitzbühel. Le centre du village de Jochberg se trouve à peu près à mi-chemin entre Kitzbühel et le col de Thurn, qui mène à Mittersill dans la Pinzgau salzbourgeoise. Le territoire de la commune constitue la partie méridionale de la vallée de Leukental et s'étend jusqu'à la frontière avec le Land de Salzbourg. Environ 500 mètres avant cette frontière du Land se trouve le Torsee, le lac d'origine de la Saalach.
