Waidring est une commune de 2074 habitants dans le Land autrichien du Tyrol, au pied des montagnes de Lofer et de la Platte de pierre. La commune se trouve dans le district judiciaire et le district de Kitzbühel. Le village est situé à la rencontre des trois frontières avec la Bavière et Salzbourg, dans la vallée de Strub. Près de Waidring se trouve une séparation des eaux de vallée, celle-ci se prolonge sous forme de forêt jusqu'à Leukental après Erpfendorf.
