Bad Gastein est une commune autrichienne se situant dans le Land de Salzbourg. Il s'agit d'une station thermale réputée et aussi d'une station de sports d'hiver.
La commune se trouve au versant nord des Hohe Tauern et le parc national. Le site de Bad Gastein est marqué par ses villas et ses hôtels mondains, construit sur les pentes de collines abruptes pendant la Belle Époque, et son harmonie avec l'environnement. Sa station allie relaxation et air pur des montagnes, d'où la présence d'un lieu de cure qui garantit aux touristes un véritable séjour de remise en forme.
