La cathédrale Notre-Dame est la cathédrale du diocèse de Tournai. Elle se distingue par ses cinq tours de même hauteur. Cette cathédrale romane a été inscrite en 2000 sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO. Elle est dédiée à Notre-Dame. Avec ses 134 mètres de longueur, la cathédrale est l'une des plus grandes églises de Belgique. Sur le plan architectural, c'est l'un des bâtiments les plus importants de Belgique, un précurseur roman révolutionnaire avec de nombreux éléments qui atteindraient leur apogée dans le style gothique. Par la suite, il n'a été possible nulle part d'égaler l'image harmonieuse des cinq tours de même hauteur.
