L'église Saint-Pierre est située au centre de la pittoresque place du village de Bazel. À côté de quelques autres bâtiments remarquables, nous voyons le portail d'entrée du château et du parc Wissekerke. L'histoire de la création du château remonte à l'époque féodale. Le château a pris son apparence actuelle en 1779 grâce à la famille noble Vilain XIIII. Remarquable dans le parc sont le pont suspendu en fer (1825), la tour à pigeons et le monumental portail. Le château appartient à la municipalité de Kruibeke.
