De Sint-Pieterskerk staat centraal op het pittoreske dorpsplein van Bazel. Naast enkele andere merkwaardige gebouwen zien we de toegangspoort van het kasteel en park Wissekerke. De ontstaansgeschiedenis van het kasteel gaat terug tot het feodale tijdperk. Het kasteel kreeg zijn huidige uitzicht in 1779 dankzij de adelijke familie Vilain XIIII. Merkwaardig in het park zijn de ijzeren hangbrug (1825), de duiventoren en het monumentale poortgebouw. Het kasteel is eigendom van de gemeente Kruibeke.
