The St. Peter's Church is centrally located in the picturesque village square of Bazel. Next to a few other remarkable buildings, we see the entrance gate of the castle and park Wissekerke. The history of the castle dates back to the feudal era. The castle acquired its current appearance in 1779 thanks to the noble family Vilain XIIII. Notable in the park are the iron suspension bridge (1825), the dovecote, and the monumental gatehouse. The castle is owned by the municipality of Kruibeke.
