Le château d’Ordingen est situé dans l’arrondissement d’Ordingen de Saint-Trond, dans la province belge du Limbourg, près de la Melsterbeek.In le début du Moyen Âge, à partir de 1040 des sources mentionnent les seigneurs d’Ordingen. Leur château servait de poste de garde à la frontière du comté de Loon. Messire Adam de Harduemont est mentionné en 1253. Ses enfants et petits-enfants ont résidé dans le château jusqu’au 14ème siècle. Le manque de descendants a fait passer le château en possession de la famille Duras apparentée.
