Dhuy est une section de la commune belge d'Éghezée située en Région wallonne dans la province de Namur.C'était une commune à part entière avant la fusion des communes de 1977 et aujourd'hui Dhuy est constitué d'un village et d'un hameau : Les Boscailles.Le nom apparaît pour la première fois en 1067 . Duis signifie « eau des fées », expression désignant autrefois le ruisseau, affluent de la Mehaigne, qui traverse le village.
