Ce château sur le Kluisberg a été vendu en 1813 par la famille de Ghellinck d’Elseghem Vaernewyck à J.P. Behaghel, qui l’a probablement reconstruit peu de temps après dans le style empire. Le château a subi beaucoup de dommages pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale et seul le pavillon de chasse a été restauré dans le même style par la suite.
