Le château Cassiers, plus tard de Groote, a été détruit comme la plupart des bâtiments pendant la Première Guerre mondiale. Peu après la guerre, il a été reconstruit.
Depuis la fin du 19e siècle, ce château est habité par la famille de Groote. Aujourd'hui encore, le château est toujours une propriété privée, ce qui le rend inaccessible au public.
