La forêt des braconniers s'étend sur les communes de Sint-Gillis-Waas et Stekene. La forêt, avec une variété de feuillus et de résineux, représente une valeur ajoutée pour cette route de VTT. Dans ce vestige de la soi-disant forêt du Roi où les comtes de Flandre venaient autrefois chasser, nous trouvons également des vestiges de la Ligne, qui a été construite en 1701 en raison de la guerre de Succession.
