La foresta dei bracconieri si estende sui comuni di Sint-Gillis-Waas e Stekene. La foresta, con una varietà di legno a foglia latifoglia e conifere, rappresenta un valore aggiunto per questo percorso di mountain bike. In questo residuo del cosiddetto Koningsforeest, dove i conti delle Fiandre un tempo venivano a cacciare, troviamo anche resti della Linea, che fu costruita nel 1701 in occasione della Guerra di Successione.
