La Lange Vaag se situe à la limite nord de la zone naturelle des Stropers, sur le territoire de la commune de Sint-Gillis-Waas. La réserve se compose d'environ 2 hectares de champ ancien de racines de lin qui est actuellement géré comme un champ de mauvaises herbes. Chaque année, la moitié est labourée alternativement. L'ensemble de la surface est brièvement pâturé en août.
