Le district de Hoboken peut se targuer de posséder quelques beaux parcs et zones vertes. Le château de Sorghvliedt a été construit entre 1745 et 1750. Le parc attire les enfants, les sportifs et les amateurs de tranquillité.
Le plus charmant bâtiment du parc est sans nul doute son belvédère. Dominant une butte du côté sud du parc, il a environ deux siècles. Il fut construit au 19e siècle pour offrir une vue dominante sur le parc et il continue à faire le bonheur des promeneurs.
La poétesse anversoise Maud Vanhauwaert y résida jusqu’à début 2020 et ouvrit un musée dans l’aile gauche du château. Elle remit entre les mains d’une artiste la clé du ‘Plus petit Musée du Monde au Nom le plus long’.
