Les forêts de Sixtus s'étendent sur la crête à l'ouest-nord-ouest de Poperinge. C'est un ensemble de plusieurs petites forêts et appartient à la célèbre abbaye de Saint-Sixtus, où des moines brassent leur délicieuse bière trappiste. Une visite du cloitre, une dégustation de trappiste et une promenade dans les forêts peuvent être combinées sur le parcours de randonnée de Saint-Sixtus (7,1 km). Celui-ci est disponible au Bureau du Tourisme de Poperinge.
