À l'entrée de la ferme Kastanjehof se dressent deux châtaigniers d'Inde. Le choix de l'espèce est atypique, car traditionnellement, des espèces indigènes comme le tilleul et le chêne sont choisies pour servir d'arbre d'accueil. Les arbres sont emblématiques du paysage urbain. À droite, nous constatons dans la couronne du châtaignier d'Inde le résultat d'une lourde rupture de branche, et le tronc n'est donc plus continu.
