Le Lakerhof est l'une des fermes historiques de Kessenich. Première mention en 1541 en tant que propriété de la famille van Waes, vendue en 1804 au baron Michiels. Située en bordure de la vallée marécageuse de l'Itterbeek, elle est déjà indiquée sur la carte de Ferraris (1771-77) sous le nom de Cse Laekerhoff sous la forme d'une ferme à deux parties, les deux bâtiments étant perpendiculaires à la rue ; elle est représentée dans la même forme dans l'Atlas des chemins de campagne (1845).
