Construit en 1930, il a été érigé à l'occasion du centenaire de la Belgique pour la ville d'Anvers. Après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, il est passé sous le contrôle des sœurs augustiniennes et, dans les années 1980, a intégré le réseau de santé Monica. Il a été largement rénové dans les années 1990. L'hôpital se spécialise en oncologie, en services médicaux d'urgence, en chirurgie cardiothoracique et en chirurgie orale et maxillo-faciale.
