L'église paroissiale actuelle de Waterland-Oudeman date de 1672 et contient encore du mobilier d'église des 17ème et 18ème siècles. Ses prédécesseurs ont non seulement été perdus à cause des inondations, mais aussi lors de conflits religieux. Tybeert, le chat, attend près de l'église, guettant quelques petits souris.
