Lucien Meyer était co-auteur du groupe de résistance Mouvement National Royal. Lorsque la rumeur a circulé que le VNV prendrait le pouvoir à Aarschot, le NKB a déployé un affichage de pouvoir naïf le lendemain de Pâques 1941. Cela leur coûtera cher. Le 13 septembre 1941, Meyer a été arrêté et torturé. Il est décédé le 26 mars 1944 à Essen à la suite d'un bombardement aérien.
