Lucien Meyer era un co-autore del gruppo di resistenza Movimento Nazionale Reale. Quando si diffuse la voce che il VNV stava per prendere il potere ad Aarschot, la NKB mostrò un naif esercizio di potere il secondo giorno di Pasqua 1941. Questo gli costerà caro. Il 13 settembre 1941, Meyer fu arrestato e torturato. Morì il 26 marzo 1944 a Essen a causa di un attacco aereo.
