Cette grande zone de 10,8 hectares est moins connue que Spoor Noord, mais vaut aussi le détour, particulièrement pour les amateurs d’archéologie industrielle. Ses énormes grues ferroviaires trahissent l’ancienne fonction de ce terrain.
Spoor Oost est devenue elle aussi une zone récréative, avec bancs publics, aire de jeux et terrains de sport. Vous pouvez notamment y pratiquer le basket, le foot, le tennis et le vélo sur piste. Et depuis 2015, l’endroit accueille la grande foire annuelle du Sinksenfoor, qui attire toujours des milliers de visiteurs.
