Le parc aménagé il y a déjà plusieurs années sur la Krugerplein a connu d’emblée un réel succès, et pas uniquement auprès des habitants de Borgerhout.
Cette grande place est en effet populaire auprès de toutes les générations d’Anversois pour ses aménagements et ses commerces. On y vient pour boire une bière fraîche (Bar Leon), une bonne glace (Borgo Gelato) ou un cornet de frites croustillantes (Frituur Sam). Une course cycliste est même organisée ici chaque année : le KrugerKross.
