Bienvenue à De Roma ! Cette impressionnante salle sur la Turnhoutsebaan a ouvert en 1928 en tant que plus grand cinéma d'Anvers. Aux côtés des stars du cinéma, des icônes de la musique comme Lou Reed, Paul McCartney et Iron Maiden ont également foulé la scène. Après la fermeture en 1982, le déclin menaçait, jusqu'à ce que des bénévoles restaurent le bâtiment à partir de 2002. Aujourd'hui, ils continuent d'assurer l'atmosphère chaleureuse, du bar à l'arrière-scène. De Roma n'est pas une salle de concert ordinaire, mais le cœur battant de Borgerhout, sur la Turnhoutsebaan tout aussi vibrante. Anecdote : De Roma n'est pas nommé d'après la capitale de l'Italie, mais d'après les premières lettres de son constructeur Jean-Baptiste Romeo et de sa femme Ludvina Malev. Romantique, n'est-ce pas ?
