Le pont routier de la Ijzerlaan devait être démoli car il était trop bas pour permettre d’intensifier le trafic fluvial de conteneurs sur le canal Albert. Une bonne nouvelle pour les cyclistes, puisque le pont est devenu cyclable.
Et c’est un modèle du genre qui a été aménagé en 2017. Une double rampe permet d’atteindre le pont de près de 100 mètres. Si la perspective de la montée vous donne soif, commencez par vous restaurer au café Welkom au Noordschippersdok.
