Le Runcvoortpark est devenu une zone verte publique un peu à l’écart. Il a environ deux siècles et fut longtemps un domaine privé, puis un jardin abbatial. La commune de Merksem fit l’acquisition du parc et du château en 1970.
Il est resté du passé religieux du Runcvoortpark une grotte mariale. L’étang de 2.000 m², les bâtiments historiques et les espaces verts font de ce parc un endroit très fréquenté.
