Voici un exemple type d'un versant prononcé le long du Vieux Chemin de Hal. C'est le début de l'un des nombreux petits vallons qui s'écoulent vers le sud-ouest et forment le ruisseau Rau de La Bruyère Mathias. Un peu plus en aval, jaillit une source. Un versant similaire se trouve également un peu plus au nord de ce versant.
