Le fond de l'étang de Pede est en fait un bassin de décantation aménagée en 2009: la digue du bassin retient les sédiments apportés par le cours d'eau et évite ainsi l'ensablement de l'étang. L'île artificielle est une halte populaire pour les oiseaux et les amphibiens. Continuez le long de l'eau, jusqu'à ce que vous atteigniez une route. À gauche se trouve le soi-disant Ketelhoeve. Il sera rénové en centre d'alimentation durable, dans le cadre du projet BoerenBruxselPaysans. Les terres de la ferme sont actuellement cultivées par des jardiniers biologiques
