Le Poelberg est une colline de 45 mètres de haut.
Malgré sa faible hauteur, le Poelberg a surpris de nombreux cyclistes dimanche , car la montée de près de 300 mètres a une proportion étonnamment raide d'une moyenne de 7,3% et la partie la plus raide dépasse 10%. Au total, 22 mètres de dénivelé sont franchis.
