A Ostende, le nouveau marché aux poissons est opérationnel depuis 2019 avec une superficie de 5 000 mètres carrés . Une grande partie de la mine construite après la Seconde Guerre mondiale a été démolie, mais la façade historique a été préservée.
La criée flamande a l'intention de vendre aux enchères un total de 17 000 tonnes de poisson chaque année, réparties sur les sites de Zeebrugge et d'Ostende. Cela génère des ventes d'environ 67 millions d'euros (2019).
