Ces 2 pigeonniers sont installés dans le Jardin de la reine depuis 1954. Ils donnent au parc des allures de jardin japonais.
Ils étaient montés sur des poteaux pour éviter les rats . En 2015, ils ont été démontés et restaurés par l'école Val-Itma. Ils ont trouvé leur place au milieu de l'étang.
Outre les pigeons, vous rencontrerez de nombreux canards autour de l'étang. Un aérateur mousse au milieu pour fournir à l'eau de l'oxygène pour les poissons. L'eau de l'étang provient de l' Escaut , qui coule juste à côté du parc.
