Le départ se fait au moulin à eau de Saint-Getrudis-Pede où l'on moud le grain depuis le XIVe siècle. La promenade explore le cours supérieur du Pedebeek. Les routes et chemins des environs forment une oasis de tranquillité. À l'église du village de Schepdaal, vous descendez à travers une réserve naturelle pittoresque, sans vous rendre compte que le Ninoofsesteenweg, très fréquenté, n'est qu'à un jet de pierre. En passant par le Varenbergbeek et le Molenbeek, vous atteignez à nouveau le moulin sur le Pedebeek. Vous passez devant les réservoirs qui permettent au moulin de fonctionner pendant les étés secs. Cette promenade est signalée par un panneau à 6 côtés portant le nom de Pedemolenwandeling.
