Le col d'Ofen relie l'Engadine à la vallée de Müstair. Une grande partie du côté ouest de la route du col traverse le Parc national suisse. Le col d'Ofen est situé en dessous de la limite des arbres. Au point le plus élevé se trouve l'hôtel de montagne Süson Givè, la vue d'ici sur la vallée de Müstair est belle. Le col d'Ofen est un point de départ pour des randonnées. La descente se fait facilement sur la bonne route et après six kilomètres, le premier village Tschierv est atteint. À Santa Maria Val Müstair, le chemin commence vers un autre col : le col d'Umbrail.
