Le vol 306 Swissair est la première catastrophe aérienne en Suisse faisant 80 victimes, le 4 septembre 1963, à Dürrenäsch, dont 43 victimes du même village de Humlikon.
À la suite d'un feu à bord, la Caravelle HB-ICV tombe verticalement 9 minutes après avoir décollé, dans un champ à 40 km à l'Ouest de l'aéroport de Zurich à Dürrenäsch dans le canton d'Argovie. La totalité des 80 personnes présentes à bord, soit 74 passagers et 6 membres d'équipage, périssent. Cet accident est tristement célèbre pour avoir fait 43 victimes parmi les 217 habitants du village de Humlikon, plongeant ce village dans une crise de main-d’œuvre et de gestion politique.
