Dans ce bâtiment du gouvernement, le grain était stocké au 18ème siècle, maintenant c'est un centre culturel. Il a été construit sur de grandes caves à vin voûtées où le vin blanc du Vaud était entreposé. Actuellement, un restaurant est installé dans ces caves. Au milieu de la Kornplatz se dresse fièrement la Kindlifresserbrunnen (fontaine du géant), une œuvre de Hans Gieng qui depuis 1545 effraie toute une génération d'enfants. Le géant dévore un petit enfant et tient dans sa main gauche le reste de son repas...
