La centrale nucléaire de Temelín, exploitée par ČEZ, est située à proximité du village de Temelín, dans la région de Bohême-du-Sud, en Tchéquie, à 50 km de la frontière avec l'Autriche et 60 km de la frontière avec l'Allemagne. Elle est composée de deux réacteurs nucléaires et quatre tours de refroidissement d'une hauteur de 150 m. Le site couvre quelque 145 ha et emploie environ 1 000 personnes.
